Digital Audio Collective

DAC, Digital Audio Collective

The Digital Audio Collective, commonly referred to as “The DAC”, is a registered student organization at Washington State University dedicated to building an inclusive space for students interested in music, audio, and sound. The DAC evolved out of the release of the Audio Lab, one of the resources found in the Library’s technology lab on the Pullman campus called the Dimensions Lab.

The Digital Audio Collective began in 2023 and became an official registered student organization in early 2024. Its members have been primarily interested and engaged in creating electronic music including hip hop, EDM and experimental music. Members share knowledge and support each other in sound recording, music production, and live performance.

The Digital Audio Collective acquired funding from the Student Technology Fee to build an additional electronic music studio in the Holland Library called the Synth Lab. This opened in January 2026. The Synth Lab compliments existing resources found in the Dimensions Lab and offers a music production studio available for reservation within the WSU Libraries.

DAC Meetings:

The Digital Audio Collective meets most weeks during Fall and Spring semesters when school is in session. Meetings are in the WSU Libraries Dimensions Lab, on the first floor of Holland room 120 from 4:15-5 PM.
