‘Pause’: Live Music, Meditation Offered in Terrell Library Atrium May 5, 6

As finals week approaches and campus energy intensifies around WSU Commencement, the university community is invited to a curated sensory experience at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, and at noon on Wednesday, May 6, in the Terrell Library atrium. Cosponsored by the School of Music and the Honors College, “Pause” brings together live music and guided meditation to support focus, reflection, and restoration.

The event features Christiano Rodrigues, assistant professor of violin and viola in the School of Music, and Karen Nguyen, concert pianist and educator. Robin Bond, director of the Mindfulness-Based Emotional and Social Intelligence Program in the Honors College, will provide the guided meditation. All are welcome.

The combination of live violin and piano music with mindfulness-based meditation creates an immersive environment that bridges cognitive demand with essential restoration, according to program organizers. Attendees can choose between two 30-minute sessions, making it easy to fit a moment of calm into a busy schedule.
