Get Access to Information and More through Library Services, Resources
As we finish the first month of the semester, it’s a great time to remind WSU students and faculty of the Libraries’ services and resources available to meet all their information and research needs.
For Pullman campus students who are searching for research help, library information, and resources specific to them, this website has links to these topics and more. Global Campus and Everett Campus students also have library links tailored to them; services are available across the university library system as well at Vancouver, Spokane, and Tri-Cities. All Interlibrary Loan requesting and management is done in one spot: through Search It and students’ Search It account.
The Pullman libraries have a popular laptop and Chromebook checkout program — out of 106 total Chromebooks cataloged, 10 are not checked out. “More than half of the total 106 were checked out to our patrons these first four weeks of classes,” said Access Services Manager Brian McManus. The libraries instituted the program to provide necessary access to computers for students who don’t have them.
For WSU faculty and staff, the WSU Libraries offer instruction and research support here. Learn everything about course reserves, open educational resources, the university repository Research Exchange, research assistance from librarians, and more. If you’re a WSU Extension researcher, this website has information just for you.
Need to do research in our Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections? Visit the MASC website to ask a question, plan a visit, visit exhibits, learn about our rare book collections, conservation, and preservation, and more. MASC also has extensive digital collections to browse online.
Washington state residents and Palouse community members who are 16 or older can obtain a free library card at any of the WSU Libraries locations. More information for these patrons and alumni can be found here.
Finally, donors and friends of the WSU Libraries can learn about giving opportunities to help us meet pressing library needs, such as purchasing books and scholarly journals, keeping up with the latest technology, supporting the preservation and digitization of physical collections, and funding the salaries of our student-workers.
