New Videos: WSU Libraries’ Initiatives, Programs, Spaces Showcased
Three new videos about student technology fees (STF), a new checkout program of Fluke equipment, and the impact of WSU Libraries on history students and faculty highlight the major initiatives that have happened recently and the ways the libraries influence our university community.

Arpita Sinha, a graduating doctoral student in the WSU Department of Anthropology, created two short-form videos in her role as a videographer for the libraries’ communications team:
- The first video features students and library faculty and staff discussing this year’s successful WSU Pullman STF Committee funding proposals for critical technology needs in Holland and Terrell Libraries, including new laptops; portable sound and performance equipment and music production kits for checkout to members of the WSU registered student organization Digital Audio Collective; and a new microform reader and scanner. The story here tells more about the proposals.
- The second video is an interview with Chelsea Leachman, science, engineering, and mathematics librarian at Owen Library, about a new student checkout program for equipment donated in March by the Fluke Corporation in partnership with WSU. More about the Fluke donation is here.
The WSU College of Arts and Sciences created a “History at WSU: Career Ready, World Ready” video, with faculty and students from the Department of History discussing how the primary resources found in Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections enrich students’ research experience.
“[The video] also reflects our close collaboration with the department,” said WSU Libraries’ Dean Trevor Bond. “In many ways, it’s a celebration of the WSU Libraries and the excellent liaison work of our librarians and staff.”
