Dimensions Lab

The Libraries' new lab currently offers a scanner, eight Windows, and four Macintosh computers, all equipped with large monitors.

Software included on all twelve machines:

  • Adobe Creative Cloud
    •  Including: Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, Flash, Acrobat, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, After Effects,  and Animate (full list of desktop applications included in the creative cloud is available at the Adobe website)
  • Microsoft Office 2013
    • Including:  Word,  Excel, Powerpoint, and OneNote
  • Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome

Platform specific software for Windows includes:

  • ArcGIS Desktop Suite
  • QGIS
  • Autodesk Entertainment Suite
    • Including: Maya, 3DS MAX, Mudbox, and more 
  • R statistical
  • Google Earth

The Dimensions Lab also houses an Oculus Rift and a windows machine powerful enough to run a selection of demos. The Oculus Rift hours are Monday - Friday Noon to 4pm.

A distraction-free environment, the Dimensions Lab is for more intensive computer-based projects in engineering, physics, computer science, and graphic design.

The lab is on the first floor of the Holland Library on the WSU Pullman campus, right off the main elevators between Holland and Terrell.
