After a long period of neglect and decay, the 1914 Davenport Hotel at 10 South Post Street in the heart of downtown was reopened in 2002, with its stunning public rooms designed by local architect Kirtland Cutter. It's a great place to stroll around in, sit down for a bit, or have a meal. It has one of the finest restaurants in Spokane.

Caution: if you're looking for more buildings by Cutter on the Web you'll need to also use the grievously common misspelling of his first name as "Kirkland."
