Along this stretch of river, the raft traffic was heavy. Our jet boat had to power down to a crawl each time it encountered one, to prevent our wake from swamping the smaller craft; but we didn't mind--the pauses gave us more time to enjoy our surroundings and brought a welcome break from the roaring engine noise.
