Take I-5 North for most Seattle exits. Lanes proliferate and merge wildly here; keep your wits about you and plan which exit you need to take ahead of time. Don't expect to see the trademark Space Needle right away. It's north of downtown, at the Seattle Center.

This is a view of the needle looming over downtown and the harbor, seen from the west. The food in the rotating Space Needle restaurant is lousy and overpriced. Save your money.
