Washington State University's Department of Communications was formed in 1964 by the merging of the Journalism Department and the broadcasting courses offered by the Speech Department. In 1990 it became the Murrow School of Communications, and in 2008 it was renamed as the Edward R. Murrow College of Communications.

The projects in this collection had been compiled and stored by the graduate program in Communications, and are far from a comprehensive set.
