I loved how it was big enough to where I didn\u2019t know everyone, but small enough that I would see people I knew while out and about.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>As a freshman, I didn\u2019t know what major I wanted. My dad reminded me how I am good at communicating with people, so I took a \u201cMedia and Society\u201d class and loved how I could relate to everything we learned.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Choosing strategic communication as a major with a degree in public relations and being part of the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication felt right. It was the best decision I could have made because of the endless possibilities I was presented with to grow my knowledge in strategic communication.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>WSU provided me with opportunities to get involved and connect with other students who are just as passionate and driven as I am. Whether it was joining Kappa Delta and making new friends, or being part of Crimson Creative, the National Student Advertising Competition, and the Public Relations Student Society of America, I formed lifelong friendships and memories that will always hold a special place in my heart.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>From cheering on the Cougars at Martin Stadium to watching \u201cThe Bachelor\u201d with my friends, my time at WSU is filled with unforgettable experiences that shaped me into the person I am today.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-922\" src=\"https:\/\/libraries.wsu.edu\/friends\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/04\/IMG_2761.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"320\" srcset=\"https:\/\/libraries.wsu.edu\/friends\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/04\/IMG_2761.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/libraries.wsu.edu\/friends\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/04\/IMG_2761-450x600.jpg 450w, https:\/\/libraries.wsu.edu\/friends\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/04\/IMG_2761-768x1025.jpg 768w, https:\/\/libraries.wsu.edu\/friends\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/04\/IMG_2761-1151x1536.jpg 1151w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 240px) 100vw, 240px\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>During my time at WSU, I served as a Browse newsletter intern at the Terrell and Holland Libraries, where I gained hands-on experience in journalism and social media. From writing profiles on WSU library staff to making fun, informative TikToks, my role allowed me to perfect skills I will use for my future career.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>As I prepare to graduate from WSU, I am filled with a sense of excitement and anticipation for the journey that lies ahead. After I graduate, I will travel around Europe and move across the country to Washington, D.C.
