    WSU veterinary student Zena Hemmen painted a tribute to the victims of one of the country’s most horrific animal massacres. Called “49 Lives,” the painting shows exotic animals like those killed in 2011 in Zanesville, Ohio.

    WSU Libraries will hold a live demonstration of a new course reserves system, ExLibris Leganto, from 10 a.m.-noon Thursday, Jan. 5, in Terrell Library 20E. A pilot of the system will be introduced in select courses for spring semester, with a campuswide rollout in the summer.
